Blacksmith Branding

We wanted to achieve a minimal medieval look and so the color palette is inspired by charcoal, paper, and molten metal. Some of the shapes and layout are loosely drawn from tools blacksmiths would use and make, musical instruments of the time, and nature. 

The wavy shapes in the shield logo and the background watermark were inspired by painted window shutters found at the Werdmüller schloss (castle) in Elgg, Switzerland.

Using animations, I wanted to show elements coming together to "forge" components of the site. The case study links in the portfolio section form a chain. The external links on the case study pages socket into place under the anvil graphic.
